Meet Lauren
Lauren Altman is a multidisciplinary artist and designer who draws directly from her studio art practice to create collectible garments. Her work spans painting, sculpture, installation, and textile design—unified by a deep commitment to upcycling and storytelling through materials. Guided by spontaneity, movement, and color, Altman approaches fashion as a living extension of her artwork. Each piece carries narrative power, inviting the wearer into the creative process. Select printed garments include a personal note from Lauren—offering reflections on art-making as a source of meaning, resilience, and renewal.
She has presented collections at New York Fashion Week and Art Basel Miami, and was commissioned by Coca-Cola to produce an upcycled installation and capsule collection for Coachella 2024.
Her work has been exhibited internationally, including at David Nolan Gallery, The Untitled Space, A.I.R. Gallery (New York), J. Mackey Gallery (East Hampton), Grimmuseum (Berlin), Bow Arts (London), and Superfine (Art Basel Miami). Lauren holds degrees from Parsons School of Design and the University of Pennsylvania, where she received a PennDesign grant to study textile craft and ethical manufacturing in Chennai, India.
