This series celebrates women who inspire the Lauren Altman Studio world—some are cultural icons, others are models and muses who brought the clothing to life in past runway shows.
Each portrait is built with bold textures and layered with textile remnants from the collection. Many subjects wear reimagined looks made from these very scraps—blurring the line between fashion and art, muse and icon.
Scenes From A Defining Moment
This series debuted during Lauren Altman Studio’s SS25 fashion show, where models symbolically exchanged these hand-painted bricks while climbing ladders—building a world rooted in sustainability, storytelling, and the enduring power of fashion.

REWOVEN LANDSCAPES: MIXED MEDIA PAINTINGS
This body of work explores transformation through material and gesture. Layers of paint, madder root and indigo, thread, sequins, embroidered textiles, wool, upcycled fabric and clothing, handmade compost paper are stitched and composed into tactile terrains—abstract depictions of memory, motion, and process.
Presented as part of the installation from the Lauren Altman Studio Resort 2024 fashion show, each piece reimagines discarded or reclaimed materials as a site of renewal.
