Lauren Altman is an interdisciplinary artist and fashion designer based in Brooklyn.
Her artworks are a personal invitation into her weird and curious world to discover the possibilities of playing with old clothes, paint, beads, and even compost.
Lauren’s work was exhibited last December at Art Basel Miami in “The Art of Wellness” show produced by The Art-Dept. Gallery and NRVLD at the Surfcomber Hotel.
She has also participated in shows at David Nolan Gallery, Art She Says Salon, and House of Yes in New York; Icebox Projects and Seraphin Gallery in Philadelphia; Escuela Superior de Artes de Yucatán in Mérida, Mexico; Superfine! Art Fair in Miami; and the Centre for Substructured Loss in London.
Partnering with art, wellness, and community spaces, she has led workshops at the Institute of Contemporary Art in Philadelphia, the ChoZen Eco-Sanctuary in Florida, and Scouts of America. Altman's work has also been featured on the social-emotional learning art-making show, Draw Together.
Lauren holds a BFA in Communication Design from Parsons School of Design, an MA in Contemporary Art from Sotheby's Institute of Art, and an MFA in Interdisciplinary Studio Art from the University of Pennsylvania, where she received the Pittman Family Scholarship and a PennDesign Grant to attend the Chennai Artist Residency in India.

our unique material ecosystem
An appreciation for the hand-made and small-batch is key to our approach. We source many of our fabrics from co-op, vintage, out-of-season, and donated fabric distributors.
Before we even think about recycling leftover inventory, we're already brainstorming new ways to use materials in fresh and unexpected ways in new art commissions for our clients.
We see this sustainable approach as fuel to our creative process, as it allows us to craft our very own material ecosystem.
